Dosing Information

There are four important things to remember about your treatment.

Always use this medicine exactly as your doctor has told you. The recommended dose of Evenity is 210 mg. Since one pre-filled pen contains 105 mg of the active substance romosozumab in 1.17 ml of solution (90mg/ml), 2 pre-filled pens must be used for each dose. The second injection must be given immediately after the first one but at a different injection site. Do this once every month for 12 months (not every 4 weeks).

Discuss with your doctor the need to switch to a follow-on osteoporosis treatment after the end of your treatment with Evenity.

How is it administered?

A monthly dose of Evenity is comprised of two injections. Evenity comes in two pre-filled pens with the same content and amount of medicine. Inject two pre-filled pens one immediately after the other to get a full dose.

month

Your first dose

It is important to make sure that the injection is only administered by an individual that has been properly trained. Your first dose may be administered by a doctor or nurse.

Your next doses

Your doctor will complete a referral form to initiate pharmacy delivery of your medicine to your home. A nurse will then call you to schedule injection support.

Where can Evenity be injected?

Each monthly dose is comprised of two injections under the skin (administered one immediately after the other to get a full dose).
Injection sites include:

  • Outer area of upper arm (with the assistance of a trained person)
  • Stomach area (but not the 5 cm area around the belly button)
  • Upper thighs

It is important to make sure that the injection is only administered by an individual that has been properly trained.

Remember:
1 monthly dose of Evenity is comprised of two injections. Do not inject in the exact same place as used for the first injection.

Refer to the Patient Information Leaflet 'Instructions for Use' section that came with your Evenity medication or visit www.medicines.org.uk.

What happens after Evenity

Transition to follow-on osteoporosis treatment required

At month 9 - 11 schedule an appointment with your doctor to take place before the end of your 12-month Evenity treatment
to plan your follow-on osteoporosis treatment.

At month 9 to 11, discuss with your doctor the need to switch to a follow-on osteoporosis treatment after the end
of your treatment with Evenity.

It is important to transition to another therapy to extend the gains from treatment with Evenity.

Keep in mind: to ensure you get the full benefit of Evenity,
it's important to receive every monthly dose for 12 months and
then discuss the need to switch to a follow-on osteoporosis treatment
after the end of your treatment
